Alexandre LORY is a multi-talented concert pianist and an artist of deeply authentic sensitivity.
After studying music at the Aix-en-Provence Conservatory, he was unanimously admitted in 2011 to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSMDP) in the class of Roger Muraro and Isabelle Dubuis. He earned his Bachelor's degree there two years later, followed by his Master's degree in 2015. That same year, he was unanimously accepted into the Master’s program for chamber music as a duo with pianist Clément Lefebvre, studying under Claire Désert and Amy Flammer.
Spotted early on by Bernard d’Ascoli, who has mentored him since 2009, Alexandre is supported by the Piano Cantabile association. He is also a laureate of the Safran Foundation, the Banque Populaire Foundation, and the Mécénat Musical Société Générale. In September 2016, upon his admission to the prestigious Artist Diploma (DAI) program at the CNSMDP, he was awarded the Blüthner Prize.
A highly sought-after chamber musician, he has been invited to perform at numerous festivals, including the Festival de La Roque d'Anthéron, La Folle Journée de Nantes, the "All About Piano" Festival in London, the Ysaÿe’s Knokke Festival in Belgium, the Kyoto International Festival, and the IKIF in New York. He has also performed as a soloist with various orchestras, such as the Lecce Wind Orchestra, the Aix-en-Provence Symphony Orchestra, the OLC in Paris, and the National Chamber Orchestra of Moldova.
In 2017, Alexandre won First Prize in the Liszt category at the Brest International Piano Competition and First Prize at the Società Umanitaria International Competition in Milan. In 2018, he was also awarded the IKIF Artist Recognition Scholarship Award in New York. A holder of the Certificat d'Aptitude (CA), he currently teaches at the CRR of Boulogne-Billancourt, the Pôle Supérieur Paris Boulogne-Billancourt (PSPBB), and the CMA 20 in Paris.
