He is also drawn to contemporary music and had the opportunity to premiere works by Florence Bachet and Seong-Hwan Lee in 2023.

Since 2018, he has formed the Duo Ermitage with cellist Paul-Marie Kuzma. Together, they recorded their first CD, Ermitage, in 2024, which will be released by Scala Music in January 2025.

Initially trained in Lausanne in piano, organ, improvisation, and chamber music, Ionah entered the Paris Regional Conservatory (CRR) in 2014, where he studied with Billy Eidi for four years. In 2018, at the age of 16, he was admitted to the Paris Conservatoire (CNSMDP), where he honed his skills under Marie-Josèphe Jude and Jonas Vitaud, graduating in 2023 with top honors in piano and chamber music. He continues to pursue advanced chamber music studies in diverse formations, from duos to quartets, including two master’s programs.

Since 2023, Ionah has been perfecting his artistry under the renowned Georgian pianist Elisso Virsaladze in Florence. He is supported by the Gourdon Foundation Fonds.
