Violinist

Born in 2004 in Paris, Marie-Aude Melliès has been studying the violin since the age of five with Hratchia Haroutunian, a former student of Leonid Kogan. In 2016, she studied with Boris Garlitsky at the Folkwang University in Essen, then with Florin Szigeti at the CRR in Paris. Since 2015, Marie-Aude has also been studying with Zakhar Bron at his Academy in Switzerland.

In 2020, she entered the CNSM in Paris, where she studied with Olivier Charlier and Itamar Golan. After completing her Master’s degree, she continued in the Artist Diploma programme (DAI) and pursued chamber music studies with Claire Désert and Jean Sulem. She has participated in masterclasses with Shlomo Mintz (Crans-Montana Classics), Maxim Vengerov (Musica Mundi), Zakhar Bron (Interlaken Classics, Mozarteum Academy, Verbier Festival), Sergey Khachatryan (Festival de Colmar/Alain Altinoglu), Leonidas Kavakos (Academy of Athens), Josef Rissin (Carl Flesch Academy), and has received guidance from Ivry Gitlis and Jean-Jacques Kantorow.

She won first prize at the Leonid Kogan International Competition in Brussels and was a laureate of the Lipinski-Wieniawski Competition in Lublin. She has performed as a soloist with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra at Tchaikovsky Hall in 2017 and with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic conducted by Heiko Mathias Förster in 2025. Invited to perform recitals with Itamar Golan at the La Schubertiade Festival in Sceaux and at Étoiles du Classique, they recorded a CD in late 2025, which will be released soon on the Mirare label.
