Pianist Albert Cano-Smit, one of the most sensitive and inspired voices of the new generation, will perform in Châlons-en-Champagne on March 19th in a recital marked by elegance and depth. From the architectural rigor of excerpts from Bach’s The Art of Fugue to the hushed poetry of the Sixth Nocturne and the narrative sweep of Fauré’s Ballade, he unfolds a program of remarkable expressive richness. The evening also features Liszt’s Second Ballade, dizzying and dramatic, as well as two jewels by Granados—Quejas o la Maja y el Ruiseñor and El Pelele—where Iberian colors and pianistic refinement fully blossom. A musical journey of rare intensity, carried by an interpreter with a luminous and profound touch.
