Giacomo was born in Domodossola (Italy) in 2001. He began studying clarinet at an early age under the guide of Gabriele Oglina. Since 2015 he has been mentored by Fabrizio Meloni.He continued his formation at the Guido Cantelli Conservatory in Novara, having Roberto Bocchio as his teacher and earning his degree in 2021 with highest distinction and honourable mention. During the academic year 2021/2022 he studied at the Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia in Madrid in the class of Pascal Moragues. In June 2024 he obtained the Master Degree’s at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU) with Pascal Moragues. From January 2025 he is studying with Calogero Palermo. He won the audition for principal Clarinet in the Ulster Orchestra in Belfast where he is on trial. He won the audition for principal Clarinet for the Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini Orchestra where he is on trial. He is the second winner in the audition for principal clarinet in the Bergen Philarmonic Orchestra. He was finalist in the audition for principal Clarinet in the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma and for the Malmo Sinfonie Orchestra. He si eligible as principal clarinet and tutti clarinet in different orchestras as the Orchestra del Teatro La Scala, Orchestra Toscanini of Parma and Orchestra Haydn of Bolzano. From 2022 to 2024 he was accademist of Teatro La Scala. He is a member of the Grafenegg Music Festival 2023 Orchestra. Since 2020 he is in the reserve list for the European Union Youth Orchestra EUYO. He has collaborated with Orchestra of the Teatro La Scala, Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala, Cameristi della Scala, Symphonic Orchestra of Teatro Real in Madrid, Madrid Soloists Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra of Teatro Regio, Orchestra Haydn, Orchestra Fondazione Arturo Toscanini, and as will as with internationally renowned musicians such as Mario Brunello, Shlomo Mintz etc. He si a prize-winner of some international competition such as the International Junior Clarinet Competition (Belgium, 2018), International Clarinet Competition city of Chiavari (2021), Czech Clarinet Art Competition (2017), Clarinet Competition city of Fano (2021), Clarinet Competition city of Fabriano (2018), International Competition city of Stresa (2018)
